Sonder Sud is the first building within the dual-building Sonder development at Cesar E. Chavez Blvd and Division Street. Phase One introduces 127 residential units and 2 retail spaces, setting the tone for the broader vision.

Sud is anchored by a dramatic second-floor outdoor amenity deck — expansive and open, designed as a central gathering space — complemented by an adjoining interior lounge that allows the space to function year-round. At street level, a large common area creates an immediate sense of arrival, flanked by one of Portland's most acclaimed cafés, activating the frontage and integrating the building into the daily rhythm of the neighborhood.

Upon completion of both buildings, the full Sonder development will deliver 204 residential units across Nord and Sud, creating a cohesive community defined by thoughtful design, walkability, and activated shared spaces.
